The Movement Towards Safer Beauty!
After returning from the latest Beautycounter Summit, I am once again blown away at what we have achieved in a few short years. From $5 million in sales three years ago, to $50 million two years ago and $200 million last year, I’d say we are on the up and up!
But what these figures really represent is the fact that we are getting in front of more and more people every year and educating them on the toxins in their personal care products they are lathering on themselves and their children every single day.
Since my teaching days, I was desperate to find something where I could help people again. However, going back to the classroom just wasn’t an option when I was seven months pregnant with my third child. Finding Beautycounter married my passion for clean living and educating with an opportunity to work my own hours and be my own boss.
In the process I have become more outgoing and gained confidence. I have been out of my comfort zone more often that I ever have before but the growth I’ve seen in myself is undeniable. The people I have met along the way have become life long friends. Most of us are mothers, wives, some are stay at home moms, and others are working full time in another job as well.
But what we all have in common is our sense of purpose.
We are doing something that’s going to affect our children and future generations. None of us got involved with this company just to sell an eye cream (although I won’t lie, the income is a great perk), we are in it to change the world. Most of us have never worked in sales in our lives! As I said, I used to be an early childhood teacher! But in this case, we aren’t selling. We are educating and that makes it easy.
When you hear about something important or find something you love, don’t you share that information with your friends and family?
This is no different. We all want to be healthy. Our health is our greatest asset, and we have been gifted the opportunity to teach those around us how to live a healthier life.
Never will you meet such supportive, open and lovely women (and a few men now!) who are on a mission to change the direction of the beauty industry, while finding purpose back in their lives along with time and financial freedom.
I was so honored to be able to have a one on one with our CEO Gregg Renfrew and Chief Revenue Officer Gina Murphy about upcoming plans to launch Beautycounter in Australia and the UK!
Waiting in line to get my headshot taken!
